# After registering

* In addition to the welcome email with the access data for the Members\' Area, you will also receive a separate email with the access data for our news servers (UseNeXT software), which you need for step 3.

# Downloading free software

* Download and install the UseNeXT software : Click here (You may be prompted to download M'zoft .NET . This program is necessary for starting UseNeXT)

# Configuring the software

* The UseNeXT software starts automatically after installation. When starting for the first time you will be prompted to enter your access data for the news servers. Click on \"Yes\" and enter your username and password from the email \"Access data for the UseNeXT software\". (You will recognize the access data for the software from the fact that the login begins with \"avi-xxxxx\". The access data which you have entered at UseNeXT - Usenet Binaries anonym mit DSL Speed downloaden inkl. gratis Software, does not function in the UseNeXT software!)

# The Newsgroup Wizard

* In the \"Newsgroup Wizard\" which now appears you will be prompted to select Newsgroups which are particularly interesting for you. You can also compile your own Top10 Newsgroups using the \"Edit\" button.


# Finding and downloading

* After configuration you will automatically be taken to the area UseNeXT Newsgroups/Categories and File Search.

* Several options for file searching are available here. The item \"Categories\" displays the Top10 Newsgroups which you previously selected using the Newsgroup Wizard. Directly below this, you can see the individual Newsgroups for the relevant Top10 category you have chosen.


* If you click on a top category, a window will open with the latest files present in the selected category. You can use the selection \"Favorite File Groups\", to display your favorite file groups, which have been selected on the basis of reviews for the individual file groups marked with appropriate \"stars\" ***** (4) in front of the file name.
* To restrict the file search, enter \"mpg\" for example and select the category Erotic to view e.g. erotic videos.

You can refine the search further with additional search terms (e.g. \"mpg amateur\").
* Searching for images
* In the menu bar of the UseNeXT software click on \"Search (1)\" and then on \"UseNeXT Image Search (2)\". If you enter a search term and you now see thumbnails of the images for this subject in the Usenet. You can also select series to start a slide show, or enlarge the images you want to see by double clicking on them, and save them at the same time.


IMPORTANT: If the age verification does not accept your personal data or you do not have a German identity card, please send us a copy of a personal identification document via our support form on UseNeXT - Usenet Binaries anonym mit DSL Speed downloaden inkl. gratis Software or by fax to 089 / 288 90 484. You must always enter your username for this (avi-xxxxx-xxx) or your customer number.

* Searching for small files such as music files (<15 MB) For this, click on \"Search\" in the Menu bar of the UseNeXT software.
* Enter a search term under \"Search for\" (at least 4 characters). But do not click on \"Search\" just yet!
* You can restrict the search to a definite category by selecting the category under the search field (e.g. \"Music/mp3\") and selecting the files instead of file groups.
* You are now ready to click on Search.
* Select the file you want, click on Download and the file will be transferred to your Download folder at maximum speed.
* Searching for larger files such as videos (>15 MB) The maximum file size in the Usenet is between 15 and 50 megabytes. If you are looking for a file which is presumably larger (e.g. a film trailer), this will be split into several files so that it can be uploaded in the forums of the Usenet as an attachment. In this case, select File Groups, enter your search term and click on Search. If your file group has been found, you will now have two options:
* Downloading via the Wizard Select the required file group and then click on the Download Wizard button. Wherever possible, the Download Wizard will download all the files required and, if necessary, use the corresponding .par2 files (repair files) to complete missing or incomplete files groups. It will then automatically reassemble the individual files into a useable file. In this case Point 5 no longer applies (Unpacking the files). If this is not possible because no .par2 files are contained in the file group, you will have to download the files manually.
* Manual download Please double click on the file group displayed. A window now opens displaying all the associated documents. Click on one of the files and Select All. After this, click on Download. After the download, click on one of the .rar files and then on Unpack File. The UseNeXT software now suggests looking for par2- files, which you should download if any are present. This enables missing or incomplete files to be repaired before unpacking.

# Unpacking files which have been downloaded without the Wizard:

* You can find the files already downloaded by clicking on \"Files\"


* With larger files, you will now have a list of files such as \"xxxxxxxxx.partxx.rar\" or \"xxxxx.r01\" in the Download directory. These files are \"packed\", i.e. compressed and split into so-called \"archives\".
* Simply select one of the files and click on Unpack File. If the archive is not complete, you will be notified that a part of the archive is missing, which you can usually find using the Search or reconstruct by means of .par2 files. If the archive is incomplete, you can select the target directory into which the archive is to be unpacked.

If you have still not found the file you are actually looking for, simply try again a few days later. Missing files are often uploaded again.[/center]
